About InSPIRE
Institute for Strategic Partnerships, Innovation, Research, and Education
InSPIRE—officially known as the Institute for Strategic Partnerships, Innovation, Research, and Education—is a groundbreaking initiative focused on transforming the landscape of additive manufacturing across Florida and beyond. Located in Panama City, InSPIRE serves as a centralized hub for cutting-edge end-to-end production of commercial, military and aerospace solutions, educational advancement, and strategic industry partnerships, providing essential resources for businesses and institutions seeking to innovate.
InSPIRE’s infrastructure is designed to support the adoption of advanced manufacturing by providing specialized equipment, embedded personnel, and comprehensive resources to industry partners.
InSPIRE will help enhance capabilities of small and medium-sized suppliers across the state, strengthening the manufacturing ecosystem and setting new standards for industrial collaboration and innovation. Supported by resources from the Triumph Gulf Coast and Florida State University, as well as ASTRO’s AM Forward collaboration of seven lead system integrators, InSPIRE represents a vital investment in the future of Northwest Florida’s industrial base and will serve as a model for manufacturing excellence nationwide.

Why Additive Manufacturing (AM)?
- AM is one of the advanced technologies changing the face of manufacturing.
- It is broadly applicable across industrial sectors and has been identified as a foundational technology that, once deployed at scale, can greatly increase the agility, capacity, and resiliency of U.S. supply chains.
- Additive technologies can reduce part lead times by as much as 90%, slash materials cost by 90%, and cut energy use in half as compared to forging, casting, and other legacy processes.
